Ah, writing. Typing your first “The End” is thrilling. Landing a contract with an advance is exciting. My publication journey required perseverance, hard work, and, yes, luck (preparation + opportunity = Luck). Along the way, I made mistakes that you can avoid.

Think of writing a book as a 1,000-mile road trip. There are no tricks or shortcuts. But I have a map. There will be temptations, interruptions, and distractions, and you’ll get a bit cranky along the way, which will challenge you (and those around you). You’re the driver. How fast you go and whether you need to stop along the way is up to you. And yes, it is worth it.

This workshop is presented by Dr. Nicholas L. Chiarkas, Ed.D., J.D. Author of the award-winning novels Weepers and Nunzio's Way - Thriller/Mystery/Crime novels set in 1957 & 1960 NYC.
